A question we received from a UAV customer recently...


"We tested several fiber optic spools from different suppliers, but most of them broke between 6 and 8 km. Have you done any real flight tests?"


It's a fair question.
For UAV fiber optic communication, laboratory data is important—but real flight testing is what truly matters.
Our team has completed field testing with a 10-inch UAV platform. In one of our tests, a 30 km fiber optic spool completed a total flight distance of approximately 36 km while maintaining a stable communication link.
Of course, fiber performance doesn't depend on the fiber alone. It is also affected by spool structure, winding quality, tension control, and the overall system design.
That's why we always recommend evaluating products based on real-world testing rather than specifications alone.
